1) References - What type of companies presently do business with you? In our case companies or sectors are defined and referenced to ensure that the potential customer can relate and/or show we have experience providing cleaning services to a similar type of facilities as theirs. As an example if a potential customer relates to banking we use references our related references, i.e. Wells Fargo (https://www.wellsfargo.com) who is a large customer and then add a smaller customer such Colorado Business Bank (www.cobizbank.com) . If our potential customer is an industrial customer we will reference a large customer such as Miller Coors (http://www.millercoors.com) and add others such as CH2M Hill (http://www.ch2m.com) an engineering company but related along with a smaller related customer such as GBC fabrication (http://www.gbcinc.com). In any case it is important that you attempt to match your references to the potential customer you are trying to reel in.
Most importantly never use a reference that is not a customer!
2) Experience and Training - Establishing and meeting cleaning industry standards is of extreme importance Being apart and active in recognized cleaning industry organizations provides ongoing education, training, and industry news and happenings. At Denver Cleaning Services - The Crew we pride ourselves with participation in industry organization such as BOMA, IFMA, BSCAI, ISSA, Green Cleaning Association, and Green Seal. It is equally as important to maintain your participation local organizations such as RMMSDC, Colorado Safety Association, and Chambers of Commerce.
3) Quality Control - Its one thing to talk about quality control and another to actually perform it. Be sure to provide examples of past Customer Surveys, Inspection Reports and Score Cards along with our method of tracking the results and how you correct issues, deficiencies in service, etc...
4) Work force - Always define your methods and procedures for managing your employees defining policy(s), labor distribution and accounting, screening, and most importantly training and site orientation including safety and security.
